To be marketed as Electric Static Dissipating Footwear, a shoe must pass testing requirements established by ASTM. Shoes must offer electrical resistance of greater than 1, but less than 100 megohms. All Nautilus products perform in the 2-10 megohm range required by sophisticated electronics industry companies. Please note that replacing the stock insole with insoles other than Nautilus Safety Footwear Static-Dissipating Anti-Fatigue Replacement Insoles could adversely affect or invalidate the SD properties of this footwear. ASTM F2413-05 Nautilus exceeds all testing requirements for protective footwear impact and compression resistance. Protective footwear must pass two tests for impact and compression established by American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM). Under the Class 75 test for impact, a shoe must withstand a 75 lb. impact with 12.7 mm (0.50 in.) clearance for men's and 11.9 mm (0.468 in.) for women's. Under the Class 75 test for compression, a shoe must withstand 2500 lbs. of compression while maintaining at least 12.7 mm (0.50 in.) for men's and 11.9 mm (0.468 in.) for women's. |
